We’re looking for an experienced Kotlin developer to join our development team. Successful candidates will have experience with Android app development, assisting in continual code quality evaluation, and converting wireframes into code. This role requires extensive knowledge of Kotlin and Java, experience with RESTful APIs, and an understanding of Android design and deployment strategies. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

• Back-end Development: Develop back-end components using Kotlin, ensuring high scalability and performance. 
• Integrations: Integrate user-facing elements into applications by working closely with front-end developers.
• Database Design: Develop database schemas using Kotlin to support business processes.
• Optimization: Optimize database reliability and performance.
• Documentation: Maintain Kotlin code and API documentation while generating reports on updates and system enhancements.
• Testing: Debug Kotlin code, write unit tests to ensure quality, and diagnose bugs.
• Collaboration: Work with data scientists, product developers, and front-end developers to integrate Kotlin applications with additional features.

The ideal candidate will need the following technical skills:

• Kotlin Proficiency: Deep understanding of Kotlin syntax, features, and idiomatic use of the language. Familiarity with advanced features like coroutines for asynchronous programming, and extension functions.
• Android Development: Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and UI design principles. Understanding of Android lifecycle, and experience with Android Jetpack components.
• Java Interoperability: Knowledge of Java and the ability to integrate Kotlin into existing Java codebases.
• Cross-Platform Development: Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for developing cross-platform applications (iOS and Android).
• Frameworks and Libraries: Knowledge of popular Kotlin frameworks and libraries like Ktor for server-side development, Exposed for database access, and Arrow for functional programming.

BONUS points if you have:

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Knowledge of other development methodologies or practices, such as Kanban or Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Experience: 5+ years of experience with the Kotlin programming language.
