About Autodesk

Autodesk develops 3D design software that dominates the film, TV, gaming, engineering, and construction industries. Founded in 1982, the company's 2022 revenue was $5 billion.

The challenge.

The initial version of Maya was launched in 1998. Autodesk faced the challenge of integrating new technologies into an existing codebase, some of which was more than 30 years old. To ensure compliance with project requirements and deliver excellent user experience for over 4,300 companies, they enlisted our QA engineers.

Maya operates across Windows, macOS, and Linux, requiring proficiency in multiple programming languages. Autodesk also introduces yearly updates to tackle challenges encountered by users in production.

For instance, the 2019 version offered faster animation playback and improved pipeline integration. 2020 brought 60 new animation features and an updated cached playback, graph editor, and time slider. Each new iteration needed a comprehensive code review
