“There is no right or wrong way to grow a company,” Mary Ann Azevedo writes in TechCrunch.
The tech and startup news authority features BairesDev as one of five impressive “bootstrapped” companies that have grown rapidly without raising venture capital funding.
“When we founded the company, raising capital in Latin America for startups was pretty difficult, so we built forward without it,” Nacho De Marco, BairesDev co-founder and CEO, told TechCrunch. “We didn’t just want to build a company — we wanted to provide opportunities for talented people, many of whom come from remote areas in Latin America.”
Software engineers Paul Azorin and De Marco founded the nearshore outsourcing tech solutions company in 2009, and since then, it has grown to become “one of Latin America’s largest under-the-radar companies,” growing annual revenue by triple digits for the past three years on average.
TechCrunch highlights BairesDev’s impressive growth in other respects as well — in 2022, we added 227 clients in the U.S. alone — and diverse team, comprised of more than 4,000 people across over 40 countries.
De Marco believes the company’s success comes from process automation, recruiting top talent, and delivering for our clients.
“It turns out those three factors are a recipe for success. A lot of our business comes from existing clients who are happy with our work,” he told TechCrunch.
It is an honor to be featured in TechCrunch — and a great way to kick off 2023!
